After falling asleep on October 1, Wyatt did not wake up until the 12th of the month.
Vajat slept for a full 11 days, despite his mother's efforts to wake him up. The doctors are confused why the boy spent so much time in his sleep.
After 11 days, Doctors gave Vajat a medication that is usually prescribed to patients with epileptic seizures. After coming out of a deep sleep, the boy struggled to walk normally and talk.
Wyatt's mother, Amy, said that doctors performed a series of tests, but the results were not clear.
"They said we probably will never find out why this happened, but we will continue to nurture it to recover," she said.
Although the boy's situation is now somewhat better, he is still in the hospital in Kentucky.
